- Shasta and Trever Hyer, of Craig, announce the birth of their daughter, Jennavecia Marie Hyer, at 11:31 a.m. Sept. 9, 2009, at Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. Grandparents are Lisa and John Martinez, Lisa and Ferrel McCordy and Ron Hyer, all of Craig. The baby was welcomed home by a sibling, Jahaygen.
- Anna Lighthizer and Marshall Martinez, of Hayden, announce the birth of their son, Alexzander Alan Martinez, at 4:38 a.m. Sept. 9, 2009, at Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs. The baby weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce and was 19 inches long. Grandparents are Carla Steele, of Hayden; Robin and Sharon Lighthizer, of Hayden; and Marshall and Marcy Martinez, of Pueblo. The baby was welcomed home by a sibling, Aveory Lighthizer.
- Candace Powell, of Scranton, Iowa, and Matthew Powell, of Baggs, Wyo., announce the birth of their son, Blake Stephen Powell, at 2:02 p.m. Sept. 16, 2009, at Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. Grandparents are Betty Powell, of Craig; Glen and Jane Garnett, of Sibley, Iowa; and Stephen and Barbara Powell, of Dubois, Wyo. The baby was welcomed home by a sibling, Taylor Jane Powell.
- Amy and Oran Rundberg, of Meeker, announce the birth of their son, Elijah Charles Rundberg, at 9:02 p.m. Sept. 14, 2009 at The Memorial Hospital in Craig. The baby weighed 7 pounds and was 20 inches long. The baby’s maternal grandparents are Richard and Evelyn Ott, of Axial. Paternal grandparents are Mike and Patti Hoke, of Meeker, and Jim Rundberg, of Colorado.
