Solace, Taylor-Baker and DeuPree: Class reunion a success

To the editor:

The 2009 Moffat County High School combined class reunion was successful. Those attending the events enjoyed visiting with classmates from various classes - 1950 through 1957.

Events aren't successful without help from many people.

We want to thank Bill Terrill and Bob Sweeney for a terrific barbecue. We also thank the Museum of Northwest Colorado for use of the "downstairs schoolroom" and the help from their staff, and the Holiday Inn for the delicious buffet.

The representatives from each class did a great job in locating their fellow classmates.

Those representatives were: Al Shepherd, Neil McCandless, Bonnie Villard, Rosalie Visintainer Armitage, JoAnn Simmons with assistance from Otis Lyons, Ruby Hinkle, Betty Jean Trouth Mather, Janet Kawcak, Steve Cattoor, and Tom and Ingrid Hammond.

Leo Romero did the artwork, and the homemade cookies for the museum social were baked by Elaine DeuPree.

Our Master of Ceremonies was taken care of by Bob Sweeney.

Thanks to each and every one of you, and we will be in touch in four or five years.

Marie Solace, Wilma Taylor-Baker and Elaine DeuPree
