The case of a Craig man charged with assaulting an elderly couple was continued Tuesday until 2 p.m. Sept. 22 in Moffat County Court.
James Lee, 31, is charged with first-degree assault, a Class 2 felony, as well as two counts of second-degree assault, first-degree burglary and second-degree burglary, all Class 3 felonies.

Ten minutes into their school year, new preschool students at East Elementary School had only one thing on their minds: The new playground.
Until this year, all preschool classes were at the Moffat County Early Childhood Center.
With reconfiguration, preschool rooms were set up at each of the four elementary schools.

Dear Annie: My wife of 15 years is seriously addicted to fantasy role-playing games, often spending 12 hours or more online every day. I really can’t begrudge her this form of entertainment. We are both retired, and she should be free to spend her time as she pleases. I manage to keep myself quite busy with a number of activities. The problem is, I see her withdrawing from the real world in which I prefer to live. I favor face-to-face relationships with actual people, whereas she considers her online “guildies” to be her true friends.

The Editorial Board was disappointed with a judge’s decision to set the bond for the man accused of attacking them at $50,000.
