Children are loaded down with school supplies, as well as instructions, bus drivers and teachers, etc.

Ah, yes - it's the first day of school.

Autumn's around the corner, and summer is becoming a memory. So is the Colorado State Fair. Several participants from Moffat County 4-H got entered in it.

One of them is my great-granddaughter, Sarah Van Grandt, who won reserve grand champion in her class there, out of 34 kids. She's 9 years old.

Yeah, I'm popping my buttons.

Speaking of age, we have birthdays for Glen Terry, Rose Gomez, Verna Miller, Keith Antonson, Rayla Chase, Beverly Higgins, Irma Knudson and Michelle Van Grandt.

Get well/speedy recovery to Cheryl Kohut, June Flatts, Glen Wenschol, Ran Cochran and Caroline Collins.

There will be no bus service or meals Monday at Sunset Meadows because of Labor Day.

The noon potluck is Friday at Sunset Meadows. Come see us.
