Craig Love INC plans to distribute cleaned, used coats to those in need this winter.
Coats will be available from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church, 1050 Yampa Ave.
The coats will be distributed at other Craig locations yet to be determined, as well as in Meeker, Rangely, Steamboat Springs, Dinosaur and Yampa.
People may pick out a coat for themselves and their children by going to any distribution location.
People may take only one coat per person per year and may not pick out coats for anyone except themselves, a spouse or their children.

4-H Achievement Night on Thursday
The Moffat County Extension Office will host 4-H Achievement Night at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Moffat County High School auditorium, 900 Finley Lane.
The evening will begin with a presentation by motivational speaker Sam Glenn, founder of Attitude Digest Magazine.
Glenn once owned his own business until it was destroyed in a fire. Afterward, he survived by working odd jobs, including a stint as a nighttime janitor.
Glenn's presentation will focus on the importance of attitude in everyone's lives and that, good or bad, someone's life is what they make it.
The awards ceremony will follow the presentation.
Chamber selling Crabfest tickets
Crabfest 2009, an event sponsored and hosted by the Craig Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for Saturday at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. U.S. Highway 40.
The event includes a "generous" serving of king crab legs, red potatoes, corn on the cob and herb and cheese biscuits, followed by a "mouth-watering dessert" buffet, the Chamber reported in a news release.
R&R Catering is preparing the dinner. There also will be a cash bar and a live and silent auction. To top off the night, comedian Troy Baxley will perform.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and dinner is served at 7 p.m. Entertainment begins at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $50 each. Tables of eight cost $350 and tables of 10 are $450. Each table receives a complimentary bottle of wine.

High school looking for photos of local veterans
Moffat County High School social studies department is looking for photos for a slideshow for upcoming Veterans Day activities. Teachers are looking for photos of residents currently in the armed forces or those who have served previously.
Submissions can be e-mailed to email@example.com, dropped off at Moffat County High School in care of Joy Tegtman, or mailed to 900 Finley Lane.
Submissions should identify the person in the photo.
All photos will be returned, and the deadline for submissions is Nov. 6.

Integrated Community looking for volunteers
Integrated Community is looking for volunteers to help with the 1st Annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner, which will take place form 2 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 19 at St. Michael Catholic Church.
IC is looking for donations of cooked food from turkey and stuffing to desserts and drinks. They also are looking for servers and people to help set up and clean up.

Humane Society offers low-cost clinic options
The Humane Society of Moffat County, in cooperation with two local veterinarians, is offering a low cost spay/neuter clinic.
The cost is $30 per animal, that includes vaccinations if they are needed, and the Humane Society will pay the remainder of the surgery cost.
To participate in the clinic, you must be a Moffat County resident. There are no income requirements, however, only two animals per household will be permitted.
Space in the clinic is limited and animals will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
If all the spaces are full by the time you get to the vet's office, ask to be put on the waiting list.
