9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Humane Society of Moffat County hosts a pet adoption day at the Craig Animal Shelter, located inside Bear Creek Animal Hospital, 2430 E. Victory Way. The Humane Society is offering reduced adoption rates during this time. Available pets can be seen at Call Carol Scott at 824-2103.

11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Wyman Museum hosts Wyman's Pumpkin Patch, a fall-themed festival with sheep traces, hay rides, scarecrows and a hay maze, at the museum, 94350 E. Highway 40. Pumpkins and food will be available for purchase. Proceeds will help put on this year's Winter Festival. Call 824-6346.

1 p.m. An auction takes place at the OP Bar & Grill, 534 E. Victory Way, benefiting Cory Pike, a 2007 Moffat County High School graduate and Colorado State University student who was diagnosed with Burkitt's lymphoma. The event is open to the public.

7 to 10 p.m. The Craig House of Horror haunted house, located next to Brass Key Realty, 840 W. Victory Way, is open throughout October. The "no scare hour" is from 6 to 7 p.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m. the haunted house operates regularly. The cost for 6 to 7 p.m. is $5, and $7 for the regular hours. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Boys & Girls Club of Craig.

8 p.m. An open meeting of Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Bud at 824-1793.
