9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Humane Society of Moffat County hosts a pet adoption day at the Craig Animal Shelter, located inside Bear Creek Animal Hospital, 2430 E. Victory Way. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Wyman Museum hosts Wyman's Pumpkin Patch, a fall-themed festival with sheep traces, hay rides, scarecrows and a hay maze, at the museum, 94350 E. Highway 40. Pumpkins and food will be available for purchase. Proceeds will help put on this year's Winter Festival. Call 824-6346.
1 p.m. An auction takes place at the OP Bar & Grill, 534 E. Victory Way, benefiting Cory Pike, a 2007 Moffat County High School graduate and Colorado State University student who was diagnosed with Burkitt's lymphoma. The event is open to the public.
7 to 10 p.m. The Craig House of Horror haunted house, located next to Brass Key Realty, 840 W. Victory Way, is open throughout October. The "no scare hour" is from 6 to 7 p.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m. the haunted house operates regularly. The cost for 6 to 7 p.m. is $5, and $7 for the regular hours. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Boys & Girls Club of Craig.
