Great-grandparents are Dean and Iris Doolin, of Craig; Jan and Darrell Hunt, of Craig; and Phyllis Lawson, of Billings, Mont.
- Joy and Marty Christensen, of Thornton, announce the birth of their daughter, Taryn Marie, at 2:48 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009, in Thornton. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and was 19 1/4 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Kathy Oldland, of Craig, and the late Gary Grinolds, of Green River, Wyo. Paternal grandparents are Martin and Kathryn Christensen, of Benbrook, Texas. Great-grandparents are Viola and Jack Oldland and Vivian and Doug Grinolds, all of Craig. The baby was welcomed home by her sisters, Amber and Harlie.

- Travis Linsacum’s love of wrestling started as soon as he could walk. That love carried him through four years of high school, a state title and two years of college. Now at age 25, the 2002 Moffat County High School graduate wants to help other youngsters learn the fundamentals of the sport he loves.
