Ed Wilkinson: Con artist looking for veteran mark

— Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265 and American Legion Post 62 members need to be aware of a possible scam involving a person claiming to be a veteran and needing assistance to get back to his home in Arizona.

No records were found of this person, and when questioned for more information, he gave a false address in Arizona and a Branson, Mo., telephone number.

I have more information on this person, so come to my office if you have been contacted by anyone claiming to need monetary assistance.

I wouldn't exactly call a homeless beggar a con artist, but I would of irresponsible and ill-managed financial institutions who thieved money from hard-working taxpayers with zero accountability and total lack of ethical behavior.
