Western Slope League all-conference boys soccer team released

The Division 4A Western Slope League boys soccer all-conference selections have been released, and Moffat County High School had three selections.

Senior Cole DuBois, junior Tracy Mendoza and freshman Alex Perez all made the honorable-mention team to represent the Bulldogs.

The first team consisted of Connor Birch and Andrew White, of Steamboat Springs High School; Marco Escobar and Gonzalo Gomez, of Eagle Valley; Danny Weller and Travis Whitman, of Glenwood Springs; Kasey Brueggman, of Palisade; Dru Marlow, of Rifle; and Clint Hervert, David Gonzalez and player of the year Connor Tedstrom, of Battle Mountain.

The honorable mention team included Sam Glashier, Jonathan Ricker, Colton Harding and Enrique Lopez, of Steamboat Springs; Ubaldo Trujillo and Leopoldo Rodriguez, of Battle Mountain; Kevin Escobar and Steve White, of Eagle Valley; Carson Wilde, of Glenwood Springs; Samuel Tarin, of Palisade; and Brandon Borgard, of Rifle.

Steamboat Springs’ Rob Bohlmann was named coach of the year.

CMS basketball to face off against Rattlers

Craig Middle School basketball will host the Little Snake River Valley School Rattlers at 4 p.m. Friday.

The eighth-grade team will play at Craig Middle School, 915 Yampa Ave., while the seventh-graders take the court at Sandrock Elementary School, 201 E. Ninth St.

The seventh- and eighth-grade teams also will face Rangely at 9 a.m. Saturday at home.

Both teams are coming off of weekend wins against Meeker.
