Nov. 15 will mark four years of business for Honey Rock Dogs in Craig.

Shannan and Ed Koucherik own and operate the dog-boarding business at 1202 Rose St.

While specializing in geriatric and long-term care, they also offer a roomy kennel that can house as many as 30 to 35 dogs at any given time.

Each run is climate controlled and has a raised bed in it.

All dogs that stay at the facility have access to, and are taken to, a large area that allows them freedom to roam and play.

Each month, the business has a drawing for any dogs that stayed during the month for a free night of boarding.

This drawing takes place on the 15th of each month, which happens to coincide with their anniversary this year.

Stop by Honey Rock and tell the Koucheriks congratulations while you check out the services they offer at their location, or give them at a call at 824-9518.

Hair salon opens in downtown Craig

Carol Allen has opened Mane Attitude Salon in downtown Craig.

Her daughter, Leni Eaby, is the master stylist on staff, and she has been a stylist for seven years, previously working in salons in the Denver area.

The salon opened Nov. 2.

Eaby said the salon serves as a signature salon for John Paul Mitchell, specializing in men’s cuts with a steam towel neck shave like the barbers use to do. It also offers women’s cuts, colors, waxing, manicures and pedicures. The salon’s claim to fame is old-fashioned customer service.

You can stop by the location at 571 Yampa Ave., or call 824-4064 to set an appointment.
