Bell ringers needed for Kettle Drive
The Craig Service Unit of the Salvation Army will host its annual holiday kettle drive beginning Nov. 27 and continuing each weekend through Dec. 24.
Volunteers are needed to ring the bells for the kettles that will be located at Walmart and City Market.
Funds raised during the campaign stay in Moffat County and are used as emergency support for county residents. The need in 2009 already has surpassed that of last year and funds are dwindling rapidly, the Craig Service Unit reported in a news release.
To sign up as a bell ringer or with a group, or to make a donation, call LuAnn Kline at First Baptist Church at 824-5926.
VNA offers free screenings
Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association is now offering free breathing screenings and asthma education during the 2009-2010 school year for school-aged children in Moffat, Routt, and Jackson counties.

Pregnancy Center preparing for event
The Yampa Valley Pregnancy Center is scheduled to hosts its 17th annual Chili Supper & Silent Auction on Saturday at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. U.S. Highway 40.
Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. The cost is $6 per person, $10 per couple and $20 for a family of four. The cost for additional children is $2.
