Fantasy Fix: A fantasy sports addict’s favorite time of the year

This is always a very interesting time of the year for fantasy sports addicts like me.
You have football in full swing while basketball is entering its second week.
I am going to cover some fantasy football news, and I also will go over some great pickups for those fantasy basketball players out there.
Let's start with some fantasy football, shall we?
I told you all to go out and pick up Jamaal Charles, of the Kansas City Chiefs, right?
I hope you did because Larry Johnson's career is spiraling downward, and Charles has the talent to make the most of any opportunity he's given. It's sad to think that Johnson was once a fantasy football stud, and now, he's just letting himself go for whatever reason.
Ryan who?
Ryan Moats came out of nowhere to carry the ball 23 times for 126 yards and three touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills.
Moats was injected into the Texans lineup after Steve "Fumbalina" Slaton was benched. It's really not clear what is going to happen with the running backs for Houston, but if Slaton continues to fumble the ball, look for Moats and Chris Brown to step in and get more touches in the weeks ahead.
Now, shifting gears :
The NBA season is only a week old, but this is the time where you can find great players available all across the waiver wire.
My seasoned eye for talent has noticed quite a few roster worthy players who are available in most leagues right now, but you have to act fast if you want their services for the rest of the year.
Ben Wallace, Detroit Pistons - Just like LL Cool J said, "don't call it a comeback."
Ben Wallace was mostly a nonfactor while playing for the Bulls and Cavs, but now that he's back in Detroit, he's a great add right now because he can get you double digit rebounds while giving you steals and blocks. Just beware that his free throw shooting is still dreadful.
Peja Stojakovic, New Orleans Hornets - One thing you know you will always get with Peja is the three ball.
He won't get you a lot of rebounds or assists, but he always will be a good source of 3-pointers. He is more of a specialist in fantasy hoops, and his ownership numbers are climbing fast.
Other guys to keep an eye on are Udonis Haslem, Chris Duhon, Erick Dampier, Grant Hill and Marreese Speights.
Remember, in fantasy basketball, and every other sport, it's not really how you start, it's how you finish.
The season is long, and it depends on how you react to situations, injuries and other factors.

Question of the week
Do you seek medical care from The Memorial Hospital in Craig or Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs?

Larry Hughes is also putting up solid numbers for New York right now…key words “right now”…if you can dump someone to pick him up, do it…it could pay off…he will be in the starting lineu for the forseeable future according to coach D'Antoni..his minutes will take a dip once Nate Robinson comes back though..
