This time I told myself the change from daylight saving time back to Mountain Standard Time won't catch me, so I went to my bedroom Saturday night and changed my clock.

I can't get to my kitchen clock very well, so my daughter, Jane, does it for me. I have two others, and I thought I'd get to those Sunday morning.

When I woke Sunday, I got up and went to the kitchen and looked at the clock.

Wait a minute.

I checked the bedroom clock, and thought, "Um, did we go forward or backward last night? Oh well, I'll go by the bedroom clock, because that's the one I go by when I get up."

My friend Kathleen came over and said, "You forgot to change your calendar."

Duh, you can't win for losing.

But I do know I have birthdays for Phyllis Varela, Justin and Vicki Gallegos, Sally Nash and Chanelle Southard, and a happy birthday to all who have birthdays this week.

A get well and a speedy recovery to Roy Southard, Harriet Decker, Stacy Zadra-Martin, Mina Paulo, Betty Rice, Fred Rosen and Marie Greenwald.

The weekly potluck will be, as always, at noon Friday at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford, with bingo to follow at 1 p.m.
