Craig briefs: Registration for SHARE is today

Registration for SHARE Craig food orders and Thanksgiving Packages will be at 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. today at Sunset Meadows II and I, respectively.

If you would like to donate the cost of a Thanksgiving package, which can be given to someone in need, you may do so at those times.

The cost this year of Thanksgiving packages are: $25, $28, $32, and $37, which include a turkey breast, along with 16 other food items. Call Karen at 824-7939.

Pregnancy Center preparing for event

The Yampa Valley Pregnancy Center is scheduled to host its 17th annual Chili Supper & Silent Auction on Saturday at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. Victory Way.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

The cost is $6 per person, $10 per couple and $20 for a family of four. The cost for additional children is $2.

Tickets will be available at the door.

Chamber seminar to advise businesses

The Craig Chamber of Commerce is hosting a seminar, "Business Survival in Tough Economic Times," next week.

The seminar is an "information-packed session designed by experts to help you evaluate your business and learn ways to survive in tough economic times," the Chamber reported in a news release.

The event is scheduled for 7:30 to 9 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Holiday Inn of Craig, 300 S. Colorado Highway 13. The cost is $5 per person for Chamber members and $10 per person for non-members.

The fee includes the session, coffee or juice and a continental breakfast.

Bell ringers needed for Kettle Drive

The Craig Service Unit of the Salvation Army will host its annual holiday kettle drive beginning Nov. 27 and continuing each weekend through Dec. 24.

Volunteers are needed to ring the bells for the kettles that will be located at Wal-Mart and City Market.

Funds raised during the kettle campaign stay in Moffat County and are used as emergency supplies.

To sign up as a bell ringer or with a group, or to make a donation, call LuAnn Kline at First Baptist Church at 824-5926.
