Craig pitcher earns All-Conference honors

Brian Wojtkiewicz, a junior at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan., was recently named to the second team All-Conference team after a strong 2009 season.

Wojtkiewicz, of Craig, a right-handed relief pitcher, had a record of 3-0, with a 5.92 ERA over 24.1 innings.

Bethany College is in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics

When I watched him in craig he was left handed Pitched left handed played hockey left landed they are doing some amazing things in college these days

He is a lefty still. They printed it wrong. They said they got the information from Bethany College though, so actually, Bethany gave Craig Daily Press the wrong info. But make no mistake, he pitched left handed all year! And also, the only reason he was a relief and not a starter is because he was the only lefty pitcher, so they needed him as a relief. He did very well though, and he did start one game towards the end of the season. He'll be playing summer ball in Kansas and still has another year at Bethany. He's doing great things!

Not to mention he's on his way to another two semesters with a 4.0 GPA!
