Let it snow? Heck, no.
This weekend's winter snowstorm continues to wreak havoc on Moffat County High School's weather-challenged 2009 baseball season.
Last Friday's scheduled non-league doubleheader at Unitah, Utah, was postponed due to weather.
The lingering effects of the storm, which continued to Monday afternoon, forced the Bulldogs indoors for practice Monday, head coach Tim Hafey said.
Poor weather could keep MCHS inside for most of the week before hitting the road for Saturday's Western Slope League double dip at Delta.
Moffat County (0-3 overall) is one of only two league teams to left to face a WSL rival to date.
Rifle had its Saturday date with Eagle Valley wiped out due to weather - along with the rest of the WSL slate.
Delta, one of a few WSL squads to squeeze games in last week, currently sit on top of the standings at 2-0, followed by 3-1 (6-2 overall) Eagle Valley.
Weather affects prep girls golf team tour
The quick-hitting winter forced the cancellation of Monday's Tiger Invitational the Moffat County High School girls golf team was scheduled to participate in at Bookcliff County Club in Grand Junction.
A possible new date, pending availability of the golf course, is being looked into, said Kevin La Duke, Grand Junction High School girls golf coach.
La Duke said today's 18-hole Warrior Invitational, set for Tiara Rado Golf Course, will be played, weather permitting.

Question of the week
Should the Craig Chamber of Commerce revise its State of the County attendance policy to allow people to hear speakers without paying for a ticket?
