Yvonne Green, Craig Chamber of Commerce office assistant, fills some of the more than 900 balloons the Chamber gave out Thursday during Member Appreciation Day. This is the third year the chamber has given members balloons and gift bags to thank them for continued support and membership.

8:30 to 10 a.m. Senior swimnastics takes place at the American Legion Post 62 pool, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Call 824-3625.
9 to 11 a.m. Playgroup for toddler/preschool age children takes place at the Early Childhood Learning Center, 775 Yampa Ave. Call Kevin at 824-1703 or Ann at 826-2717.

5 p.m. The Elks Lodge, 43 W. Victory Way, hosts bingo. Doors open at 5 p.m. Games begin at 6:15 p.m. Call Frank at 824-6131 or 620-0874.
5 to 6 p.m. Downtown Books, 543 Yampa Ave., hosts an open house for Craig City Council candidates. Light refreshments will be served. Call 824-3108.
7 p.m. Fellowship Group of Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 419 Yampa Ave. Call 326-6646.
7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate Recovery meets at 1150 W. Ninth St. The group is designed to help people overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups. Childcare is provided, and late-comers are welcome. Call 824-5926.
Saturday, March 28
10:30 and 11:45 a.m. The Craig Cougars, a U-16 girls hockey team, plays a team from Grand Junction at the Moffat County Ice Arena. Call Glenda Bellio at 824-8621.
11 a.m. Moffat County High School varsity baseball vs. Glenwood Springs High School in an afternoon doubleheader at Craig Middle School, 915 Yampa Ave.
11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The new Saturday hours begin at the Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries. Call 824-5116.
1:30 to 3 p.m. Preserving the Last Frontier meets at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St. Anyone interested in local history is invited to attend. The group will present the 2008 Craig Centennial Scrapbook. Call 824-3108.
3 p.m. Page Turners book club meets at Downtown Books, 543 Yampa Ave., to discuss Ron Hall's book, "Same Kind of Different as Me." Everyone is welcome. Light refreshments will be served. Call 824-5343.
5 p.m. American Legion bingo takes place at the Elks Lodge, 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m. Games begin at 6:15 p.m. The post also will be having a drawing for an AR-15 rifle.
Sunday, March 29
1:30 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars hosts bingo at the VFW Hall, 419 E. Victory Way. For more information, call Dave Walters at 824-2923.
5 p.m. Local Union 1799 meets at the Center of Craig. Call Francis Lux at 824-4134.
7 to 9 p.m. Adult co-ed open soccer takes place at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. Highway 40. Flat tennis shoes and shin guards are required. The cost is $2 a player. Call Bill Sawer at 824-0116.
