Voters who missed Monday afternoon's Craig City Council candidate forum shouldn't fret - luckily, they have two more chances this week to hear from those running for public office.
Six of the seven candidates - council candidates Gene Bilodeau, Joe Bird, Terry Carwile, Francisco Reina and Jennifer Riley, and mayoral candidate Don Jones - have indicated they would attend both appearances.
Council candidate Byron Willems is out-of-town and unavailable.
The first event comes Wednesday night during the Craig Daily Press/KRAI candidate forum at the Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way.
The forum runs from 6 to 7:15 p.m.
Candidates will make opening and closing statements and answer questions from the moderator.
Anyone from the public with a question for the candidates may submit it to the moderator.
Wednesday night's forum will be broadcast live on KRAI (93.7) and 55 Country (550 AM), as well as the radio station's Web site, www.krai.com.
The second candidate appearance happens from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday.
It is a meet-and-greet session with the candidates, hosted by Downtown Books, 543 Yampa Ave.
It will be less formal than Wednesday's event, said Carwile, who helped organize the outing.
"It'll be us (the candidates) hanging around and talking about any issue at your leisure, and without the stump speech," he said.
Jones is running unopposed for his third and final mayoral term.
The six council candidates are vying for the four open seats.
The election is April 7 at Centennial Mall.

Question of the week
Should the Craig Chamber of Commerce revise its State of the County attendance policy to allow people to hear speakers without paying for a ticket?
