- Jessica Gorley and Nathaniel Bush, of Craig, announce the birth of their son, Tristin Alan Bush, at 3:06 p.m. March 1, 2009, at The Memorial Hospital in Craig. The baby weighed 4 pounds, 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Lisa Eady, of Craig. Paternal grandparents are Pat Bush and Steve Bush, of Craig. The baby was welcomed home by the family dog, Kacy.
- Janet and Arlo Lott, of Hayden, announce the birth of their daughter, Abigail Joy Lott, at 8:03 p.m. March 14, 2009, at Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs. The baby weighed 7 pounds and 7 ounces. Grandparents are Arlo and Kathi Lott, of Jerome, Idaho; and John and Nina Hollifield, of Jerome, Idaho. The baby was welcomed home by a sibling, Drake Lott.
- Memphis Jewel Valentine, daughter of Kelley and T.J. Valentine, of Craig, was born at 5:25 p.m. March 6, 2009. Her grandparents are Susanne Hindes, of Denver; and Tony and Maryanne Valentine, of Meeker. She has one brother, Sam.

- It would be hard to have a set opinion on the Moffat County School District’s proposal to city officials, Craig City Councilor Ray Beck said Wednesday, because the proposal hasn’t been consistent. Superintendent Pete Bergmann and Joel Sheridan, School District construction liaison, asked the city for $365,000 to help the School District build a second, full-size gymnasium at Craig Middle School, which the city also would use for its own programs.
