Precision Auto Service, 1294 W. Fourth St., is another business in Craig that recently has made improvements to its building. In the sprint of 2007, the business doubled the size and improved the landscaping on the property as well as the parking.

As you may have noticed, the list of businesses that have made improvements is a long one.

Every dollar that stays here makes a difference to your neighbor, your friend, your co-worker or your family.

These dollars are used to buy housing, cars, food, entertainment and much more. Every dollar spent in Moffat County provides taxes that assist in paying for fire protection, schools, streets, the hospital and much more. These are the things that you rely on every day, so do your part and shop Craig and Moffat County.

Giving Back

Many businesses in this community also give back to your community via in-kind services and cash.

Furniture Gallery, a local retailer, has begun a new community giving program that provides cash back on purchases made at the store. For every purchase made in the store, you have the opportunity to give a portion of that purchase to an organization of your choice.

The community organizations that they have partnered up in Craig/Moffat County include the Community Budget Center, Humane Society of Moffat County, Bad Dogs Youth Wrestling and Horizons Specialized Services.

Partners in Steamboat Springs/Routt County include Advocates Against Battering and Abuse, LIFT-UP of Routt County, Routt County Humane Society and in Baggs, Wyo., Little Rascals Preschool and Citizens Against Drugs.

For more information on the program, call 824-2368 or find out more by visiting and clicking on the Community Giving Program Partners link.

Josh; I have been wondering for some time as I read the newspaper why you never include Peabody Energy in the stock market report?? Seeing as it is a local company [20 mile coal Co.] I believe it should be in our paper. It used to be but lately it has been left out. Thank You Eddie Kiggins 541 Conner Dr. Craig, Co. 1-970/824-6502
