In its first action since June 13, The Hayden Speedway will welcome Dwarf Cars on Saturday to the track. The gates open at 4:30 p.m., and the show starts at 6:30 p.m.
The Dwarf Car show will be the third race this season at the Speedway, 37900 County Road 53.
TMH golf tournament scheduled for today
The ninth annual The Memorial Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament will take place at 2 p.m. today at Yampa Valley Golf Course.
The tournament, a four-man team scramble format, benefits TMH Foundation. Teams may buy mulligans, and mulligan tickets will be used in a drawing for prizes.
The price of the tournament is $50 a person or $200 a team. It includes 18 holes of golf, cart, all-you-can-eat burgers and a chance to win cash prizes. Prizes include Colorado Rockies tickets, restaurant gift certificates and more.
There will be a chipping pond, and contests for the straightest drive, closest to the pin and to land tee shots on the seventh green.
For more information, call Eva Peroulis with the Foundation at 826-2424.
