This year is shaping up to be a big year for a small, family construction business in Craig.
Three Sons Construction, Craig resident Jarrod Ogden's business, is named, appropriately enough, after his three boys, Carter, 7, Seth, 9, and Levi, 14. The general contracting business celebrated its three-year anniversary in April.
That won't be the only milestone this year for the young business, however.
Three Sons currently is developing a building of its own at 1121 E. Victory Way.
Since its inception, Three Sons has been operating out of Ogden's two-car garage at 3815 Exmoor Drive in the Ridgeview subdivision. However, the building isn't suitable to the young company's needs.
He said the building is too small for all of Three Sons' equipment, meaning the company has storage spaces across town.
"I'm kind of trying to centrally locate all of my stuff, basically," Ogden said.
Ogden said the new building will entail two floors and about 5,000 square feet. About one-quarter of the building will be used for office/conference room space. The rest will be used for storage and work space.
Three Sons focuses on a wide-array of construction projects, from residential, commercial and industrial, to home remodelings and additions.
"Or," he said, "any need you have from wood to metal to masonry," Ogden said.
He said he hopes the new building - and being out of the garage - will lend legitimacy to his business.
"It's a little informal right now," Ogden said. "But we'll have a storefront (at the new location) that lets everyone know where we are and who we are. : I guess I'm hoping it puts us out there for me people to see."
The building is in the beginning phase of construction. Three Sons had been hoping to finish the new location by the end of the year.
However, recent weather has caused a delay. Most likely, the new location won't be ready until the beginning of next year, or the spring.
"We were shooting for this winter, by the end of the year," Ogden said. "But you know how the weather goes."
