Courthouse bomb scare turns out to be false alarm

A red cooler filled with an empty soda can, tools, spoons and an open bag of sunflower seeds stopped all activity at the Moffat County Courthouse for more than five hours Monday afternoon.

Local law enforcement began evacuating the Moffat County Courthouse at about 1 p.m. today after receiving word of what Sheriff Tim Jantz called a “suspicious package.”
