July is over the hump and on its merry way to more thunderstorms, signs of getting ready for school, grills going, and watermelon being nice and cold. You know, all the usual signs of summer being in full effect.
What a wonderful world it is to be in a country where we have a choice to do a lot of the things that are around us.
Although some of us are handicapped or disabled, we still can know that there are people who care. I have been fortunate to have that with my family and friends.
I also have come across some people who are callous to the extent of causing hurt feelings.
Thank goodness these are few, and hopefully God will show them the way to go.
In the meantime, I have birthdays for Celestine Serrano, Perry Van Dorn and Peter Forbes.
Get well/speedy recovery to Twila Holmes, Shane Armstrong, Helen Leabo, John Jacobs, Rogelio Camacho and Caroline Collins.
The AARP meeting is at 2 p.m. Monday at Sunset Meadows I.
The noon potluck is Friday at Sunset Meadows I. Come see us, and bring a friend. See you there.
