Craig Liquors, at 391 Lincoln St., is now under new ownership and has a new name, Lariat Liquors.
Mike and Soni Vice purchased the store in early June and have made a few changes.
Their main goal is to provide fast and friendly service. They offer a wide variety of alcohol that can be purchased inside their store, or at their drive-thru window.
The couple also plans to hold new hours to better serve their customers.
They are now open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, and are open until midnight Friday and Saturday.
You can contact them by calling 824-6632, or stopping by their location.
New hours, specials at the VFW Steakhouse
The VFW Steakhouse in Craig, located at 419 East Victory Way, has new hours.
The restaurant now serves breakfast from 6 to 11 a.m. Wednesday through Friday; lunch from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday; and dinner Wednesday through Saturday.
It also offers free coffee from 6 to 8 a.m. daily.
The VFW breakfast special includes three pancakes, two eggs and two sausages or bacon strips for only $3.22.
Friday's surf and turf special is ribeye and shrimp, and Saturday's special is the ever-popular prime rib.
Stop by and give them a try, or call 824-7145 for more information.
New management, new owners at Bear Valley
The Bear Valley Inn - and its new manager, Brandy Hernandez - are making many changes to the local motel.
Most notably, they have begun the process of remodeling the entire building. The parking lot is being replaced now, and officials will begin remodeling the rooms in the future.
Each room will have new carpet, new wallpaper, new TVs and new beds.
They will be done one at a time in order to stay open during construction.
Earlier this year, Bear Valley Inn commissioned Faye Bratten, of Loveland, to carve a pack of bears in a tree.
The wood carving is complete and ready for all to see.
You can contact the motel by stopping by their office at 755 East Victory Way, or by calling 824-8101.
