Craig To the editor:
On behalf of the Northwest Colorado Fire Management Unit and the Little Snake Field Office, I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who helped us deal with the loss of engine captain Brett Stearns.
So great was the response, that I'm not even sure who to thank, but I will try.
To the emergency responders who were dispatched to the scene of the accident.
To all of our agency partners who pitched in to help keep day-to-day operations running. To the Moffat County Victim Assistance Program who delivered grief counseling for employees.
To everyone who helped us contact and provide assistance to family members, including the Moffat County Sheriff's Office and the Wildland Firefighter Foundation.
To J. W. Snacks, Safeway Deli, and everyone who provided food for family and friends. To the many, many fire departments and organizations throughout Colorado and the nation who offered support.
To the hundreds of people who offered their condolences. To all of the firefighters, community members, the Honor Guard, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Blaine Tucker, the Boise Smokejumpers, Grant Mortuary, Craig Fire-Rescue and everyone else who helped create a memorial service with the level of dignity, respect and honor Brett deserved.
To each and every person involved in any manner of support, I sincerely thank you.

Question of the week
Should the Craig Chamber of Commerce revise its State of the County attendance policy to allow people to hear speakers without paying for a ticket?
