Craig — To the editor:

I wanted to write a rebuttal to the letter that was written about the meal that was served by the VFW to seniors on the first Saturday of December.

First of all, the meal was not watered down and was well accepted for the people, except for Ms. Beard and a few select others.

Second, if you would not look a gift horse (VFW) in the mouth and expect a five-course meal for free, you might appreciate what was given for free. Anyone who would complain about a free meal would never appreciate a meal that was a five-course meal, anyway.

Good job VFW, from a group of seniors who appreciate it. Keep up the good work.
