Christmas for Seniors
To the editor:
Once again, I am amazed at the kindhearted, wonderful people who live in Craig. This year, as they have always done in the past, they opened their wallets and gave so lovingly to Christmas for Seniors. We also got many items donated that we were able to give to the senior citizens in our community.
It is so fun to see the lights in their eyes when we delivered the "care packages," and our seniors are so appreciative.
Special thanks go to Mike Williams at the Super Car Wash, Rich Jukkola at Kmart, United Way and Corrie Ponikvar, Chapter AJ-P.E.O., the Quilters, Elaine DeuPree, Donna Juergens, Amber Kawcak, Connie Combs, Delilah Duarte and Jan Reece. Tonia and Patti at Kmart were fantastic. Frank, Tammie and Mike at KRAI deserve loads of credit - without the media drive, there would be no funds to run for Christmas for Seniors.
Other special people are LaDawn and the gals at Accent on Beauty and Veronica Simpson and Mary Gillingham at Sandrock Ridge. Thanks, too, Jaci Mock.
We can help our seniors every day by holding a door open for them, giving them a warm smile and saying hello, or showing in some little way that we appreciate them and we care for them.
Aren't you proud you live in Craig? I surely am.

Question of the week
Do you seek medical care from The Memorial Hospital in Craig or Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs?
