Craig lost three residents in 2008 who each left a big mark on the city and the loved ones, friends and neighbors they left behind. Their accomplishments and dreams live on, though, in local youth who play on soccer and baseball fields, and Broncos supporters who saw Craig be named as one of eight cities in Colorado with the team’s biggest fans.

Unlike news reporting, there are no experts or eyewitnesses to talk to, no photographers to chat up between interviews, no fiery arguments with editors: “You buried the lede, &%$@#!” “Did not, you son of a %&$%@!!” (Newsroom language can get colorful, even among friends.)

Geoffrey Ward Mansfield, 36, of Craig, was booked into Moffat County Jail on suspicion of driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, turning movements and required signals, violating a restraining order, violating bail bond conditions and driving a vehicle while license under restraint.

2009 Winter Reading Program begins Monday and ends on March 27 at Moffat County Public Libraries. The program is available to all ages, and people may come in any time between those dates to register and pick up a reading log and packet.
