- Freshman state Rep. Randy Baumgardner, R-Hot Sulphur Springs, had an idea to reshape the way Colorado shares natural resource revenue with local governments. That idea died late Wednesday afternoon in the Legislature’s Finance Committee. House Bill 1051 would have taken 10 percent of the state’s federal mineral lease revenue and given that money to individual cities and counties with no strings attached.

- Eagle’s Wings Christian School is sponsoring a dinner and movie night Feb. 13 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1050 Yampa Ave., in Craig. The school will screen “Fireproof,” a 2008 American drama about a firefighter’s attempt to salvage his crumbling marriage by using a 40-day test called “The Love Dare.”

- The owner of a former Craig business pleaded guilty Wednesday afternoon in Moffat County District Court to a criminal charge alleging he stole money from clients in 2006. Kelly Eugene Grinolds, the former president and sole shareholder of Poznet Solutions, or Poznet Recovery Services, appeared in District Court with his attorney, Douglas Timmerman. As part of pending plea agreement with the Ninth Judicial District Attorney’s Office, Grinolds pleaded guilty to the sole count, theft over $15,000 in a series, a Class 3 felony.
