On Thursday, Gov. Bill Ritter extended holiday wishes and hopes for the new year to Coloradans.
“It’s my honor and my privilege to extend warm holiday wishes to all Coloradans,” Ritter said in a news release.
“And this year, please join me in giving a humble thank you to the men and women serving our country, and the families waiting for their return.
“This has been a difficult year. The economy has forced us all to make tough choices, and things will be challenging for some time to come.
“But, we have much reason for optimism and for hope as we begin a new year and a new decade full of possibilities and opportunities.
“The first lady and I wish you and your family a very happy holiday season and a joyful New Year.
“God bless you all.”
