The Craig Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations from businesses and residents for its annual Businessperson, Small Business and Large Business awards to be presented at the Chamber’s annual meeting in February.
For the fourth year, the Chamber will partner with the Craig Daily Press and KRAI to present “State of the County,” an event that highlights the accomplishments and plans of the city, county and Chamber.
Small businesses are those with 19 or fewer employees. Large businesses are those with 20 or more employees. The business person of the year can be a business owner, manager or employee.
Submit your nominations to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail them to 360 E. Victory Way. Nominations are due by Jan. 13.
Please include the business name and a brief explanation of why that person or business deserves the award.
Humane Society meets Monday

TNR meeting to be delayed this month
There will not be a Trap, Neuter and Release Program meeting in December because of the holiday, but meetings are scheduled to resume in January, according to a news release.

Cardio assessments available Dec. 18
Free cardiovascular assessments, including full cholesterol panel, glucose levels and body mass indexes, will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association in Craig, 745 Russell St. Call 819-1771 to make an appointment.
H1N1 vaccines now available to public
The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association now has H1N1 vaccine and seasonal flu vaccine available for all ages of the general public.
