A monthly meeting for parents of Moffat County High School students will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the MCHS library.

These meetings take place the first Monday of every month and are designed to keep parents involved in and informed about their children’s education.

VNA making H1N1 vaccines available

The Northwest Colo­rado Visiting Nurse Association now has H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines available for all ages of the general public.

Church to display nativity scenes

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1295 W. Ninth St., is hosting its Sixth Annual Community Christmas Nativity Display.

More than 400 nativity scenes will be on display.

Admission is free, and people can view the scenes by entering through the north door of the church.

The display will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.

Tree auction set for Sunday in Hayden

A Christmas tree auction is scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Routt County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall in Hayden.

The auction features decorated wreaths, trees and centerpieces created by area youth groups and service organizations.

Saddle Club to host gymkhana series

As a part of its Winter Gymkhana Series, the Little Snake River Valley Saddle Club will host events Sunday and Dec. 20 at Russell Community Park Indoor Arena in Dixon, Wyo.

The event is open to all ages, and fees vary depending on age group. Food and hot drinks will be provided.

Book club to review three works Thursday

The Craig Book Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Club member Marty Cisar will review “Sunflower and the Secret Fan,” “Peony in Love,” and “Shanghai Girls.” Marian Simons is scheduled to host.
