To the editor:
We would like to thank the Craig Veterans of Foreign Wars post for the program they had when our daughter, Kathy, returned from Iraq.
They met the plane with an honor guard, signs and flags, and it was a very touching moment.
We also would like to thank the people at Yampa Valley Regional Airport for letting us meet the plane, the State Patrol for leading the procession of cars back to the Craig VFW, and the Moffat County Sheriff's Office and Craig Police Department.
I'd also like to thank the Craig Daily Press and KRAI, as well as all the people who came out and all the people who helped put this together.
To everyone who has a son or daughter coming home, please let the VFW know and they will arrange this for them. You won't regret it. They need to be honored.
We asked to be notified so we could attend this for someone else. Thank you again to everyone - this is what we like about living in this area.
