- Mark and Jennifer (Harris) Torres announce the birth of their daughter, Rhyan Fenley Torres, on July 2, 2009, at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree. Rhyan weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long. The Torres family, including daughter Addison, age 3, lives in Highlands Ranch.
- Susana Lopez and Alvaro Gutierrez, of Craig, announces the birth of their son, Rodrigo Gutierrez Lopez, at 11:17 p.m. Aug. 4, 2009, at The Memorial Hospital in Craig. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces and was 21 1/4 inches long. His maternal grandparents are Yolanda Lopez and Jose Lopez, of Craig. His paternal grandparents are Antonia Gutierrez and Antonio Gutierrez, of Mexico. The baby was welcomed home by a sibling, Jose Antonio Gutierrez.
- Liam Paul Schneegas, son of Melinda Cramer and Robert Schneegas, of Craig, was born at 2:31 a.m. Aug. 11, 2009. He weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20 1/4 inches long. His grandparents are Marissa Jaime, of Steamboat Springs; Sheila Fuller, of Olean, N.Y.; and Edward Schneegas, of Westminster.

On Monday at Bookcliff Country Club in Grand Junction, senior Taylor Branstetter, of Hayden, shot a 78 while the rest of the team shot between 90 and 92, coach Ken Harjes said.
