1 to 5 p.m. Dr. Rebecca Dedmond presents "Train the Teacher," a seminar on how to involve parents in their children's future success. 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. "Big Blue" football camp takes place at Moffat County High School for kindergartners through eighth graders. The cost is $40. Call Kip Hafey at 824-9586.

6 to 9 p.m. The Moffat County Work and Life Skills Coalition partners with Craig Middle School to offer a "Parents Workshop," designed to help parents work with their seventh- or eighth-grade student to effectively plan for the future. The workshop takes place at the Moffat County School District administrative building, 775 Yampa Ave. The workshop, valued at $50 a person, is being paid for by a grant from Moffat County Social Services. The event, which is open to the public, will include Mariachi music, food, beer, a salsa cook off, piñata contest, soccer, ice cones, cotton candy, and facing painting, among others.
