9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Aging Well Program's "Wellness Wednesday" is at American Legion Post No. 62 for individuals ages 50 and older. It includes art, writing and exercises classes throughout the day. Lunch is served at each week's presentation. To register for activities, call 871-7676.

8:30 to 10 a.m. Senior swimnastics takes place at the American Legion Post 62 pool, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Call 824-3625.

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free cardiovascular assessments are offered at the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association's Craig office, 745 Russell St. Tests include a full cholesterol panel, glucose level and body mass index. Call 846-9855 or 875-1880 to make an appointment.

9 a.m. to noon. Dr. Rebecca Dedmond of George Washington University presents "Freshman Transition Initiative Overview" for school administrators, principles, counselors, transition coordinators and teachers. Call Mary Ann Arguello at 826-6263 for more information.

10 and 11:30 a.m. Story-time takes place at the Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St. Miss Christy will read to visitors. The library will celebrate National Poetry Month at this time.

1 to 5 p.m. Dr. Rebecca Dedmond presents "Train the Teacher," a seminar about how to involve parents in their children's future success. The event is open to school administrators, principles, counselors, transition and swap coordinators, teachers and community partners. Call Mary Ann Arguello at 826-6263 for more information.

6 to 9 p.m. The Moffat County Work and Life Skills Coalition partners with CMS to offer a "Parents Workshop," designed to help parents work with their seventh- or eighth-grade student to plan for the future. The workshop is at the Moffat County School District administrative building, 775 Yampa Ave. Call 321-7271 to reserve a space.
