Joey Gates, an East Elementary School kindergartner, attempts to make bubbles Friday during the Very Special Arts Festival. The festival, an annual event at East for more than 20 years, features art activities for students in kindergarten through fourth grade, including kites, sculpture and pizza-making.

3 p.m. Page Turners Book Club meet at Downtown Books, 543 Yampa Ave., to discuss "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society." Anyone is welcome. Light refreshments will be served. Next month's book is a mystery/thriller by Harlen Coben titled, "Hold Tight."

4 to 8 p.m. Eagle's Wings Christian School hosts the Redneck Auction & BBQ at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion. The event will include a family friendly comedian and local talent. Tickets will be available at the door, or you can call Betty Ann at 824-9961 or 824-4268.
