Craig To the editor:
I would like to sincerely thank the emergency room staff, Dr. Jon Ossen and Marie Kettle, as well as EMTs Joan Hillewaert and trainee Stayton Mosbey.
Their prompt, professional medical expertise, not to mention the caring manor in which I was treated after a severe head injury, was the very best.
This was my third visit to the ER in less than a year, so I am speaking from a little personal experience.
In an emergency, the hospital staff not only treats the patient, but also the family, as well, and there is a lot of comfort in familiar, friendly faces and faith in the doctors, nurses and staff that we have here in this community.
I truly believe Craig residents should be very thankful for our hospital and facilities that we have here, and it would sure be nice to read and hear positive comments about the new one being built. Please show some appreciation for what so many people have worked on for so long.
In addition, we as a city and county have so much to look forward to - a new hospital, new college, hotels, movie theater, and I am sure a restaurant or two, new housing developments, etc. Let's be patient with the changes.
I encourage everyone to help create, clean up and beautify our community as it continues to grow.
Thanks again, TMH and staff. You all are definitely raising the bar.
