The 10-girl troop also filled more than 700 eggs in preparation for an Easter Egg hunt that will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sandrock.

Today

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Moffat County Early Childhood Coalition hosts its annual Children's Festival at the Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way. There will be a variety of activities provided by local businesses and organizations for young children.

10:30 a.m. Rev. Linda Taylor conducts a special Easter service for Browns Park area at Ladore Hall. Everyone is welcome. A light lunch will be served afterward.

1 p.m. The Craig Lions Club hosts a candy race at the north end of Craig City Park for children as old as 8. Bring an Easter basket or bag.

2 to 5 p.m. A publishing workshop takes place at Downtown Books, 543 Yampa Ave. The event is free and open to the public. Call 824-5343.

5 p.m. American Legion bingo takes place at the Elk's Lodge 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m. Games begin at 6:15 p.m.

8 p.m. An open meeting of Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Bud at 824-1793.

Sunday, April 12

7 a.m. Easter sunrise service for Friendship United Methodist Church takes place at 1509 Oak St., with Easter sunrise breakfast to follow. Anyone is welcome.

7 a.m. Easter sunrise service takes place at Sandrock Ridge Care & Rehab, 943 W. Eighth St. Anyone is welcome.

8 a.m. Easter breakfast takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Anyone is welcome.

9 a.m. Easter worship service takes place at Friendship United Methodist Church, 700 Barclay St. Anyone is welcome.

10 a.m. Easter Sunday worship takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Anyone is welcome.

1:30 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars hosts bingo at the VFW Hall, 419 E. Victory Way. For more information, call Dave Walters at 824-2923.

2 p.m. The community is invited to participate in an Easter egg hunt at Sandrock Ridge Care & Rehab, 943 W. Eighth St., for children from birth to 12 years old. Bring an Easter basket. Call 826-4100 and ask for Mary or Colette.

Monday, April 13

9 to 10 a.m. National Arthritis Foundation swimming takes place at the American Legion Post 62 pool, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Call 824-3625.

Noon. Al Anon meeting is at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 630 Green St., in the library, for relatives and friends of alcoholics and addicts.
