Elizabeth Anderson, of Craig, recently celebrated her 95th birthday at the home of her son and his wife, Tom and Ingrid Hammond. She has lived in the Craig area for 59 years, but she grew up in Oklahoma.

Elizabeth was married to Doc Hammond until his death. She later married John Anderson. She is the final surviving sibling of nine brothers and sisters.

Greeting Elizabeth to help her celebrate were many friends, relatives and neighbors.

Elizabeth was treated to a surprise party with barbecue, cake and ice cream, along with many cards and gifts. She was extremely happy and surprised to see her niece, Donna Hinton, and great-niece, Holly Graves, from Altus, Okla., at the party.

Also celebrating her birthday with her were her grandson, Lance, and his wife, Mary, and great-grandson, Cameron Hammond.
