10 to 11:30 a.m. Moffat County Library, in Craig, will look at shapes and opposites at story time. Circles, squares, up and down, in and out - all the basics will be covered at this story hour. Come join Miss Cindy for an up-and-down, around-and-around adventure.

5 to 7:30 p.m. The Colorado Department of Education will host a community meeting at Steamboat Springs High School, 45 E. Maple St., to review definitions that will be used to update the Colorado Model Content Standards. 6 p.m. The Elks Lodge hosts bingo each Friday night. Fifteen games are played with a minimum payout of $1,000 each night. The lodge is located at 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m.

7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate Recovery meets at First Baptist Church, 1150 W. Ninth St. The purpose of the group is to help people overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups, in a safe environment. Live worship music and childcare is provided. Late-comers are welcome. Call Caroline 620-0659.

7 p.m. Fellowship Group Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 80 E. Fourth St.

Saturday, Sept. 20

10 a.m. Craig Noon Lions Club presents the first Rubber Duckie Race, which finishes at Loudy-Simpson Park. Tickets are $10 per duck and are available from any Lions member. First prize receives $1,000, second gets $500 and third place wins $250. The fundraiser is for Craig Lions Eye Glass Fund. For information or tickets, call 824-5814.
