Livestock purchases support 4-H students
Moffat County Fair results in animal assets

Many local residents and businesses purchased the animals raised by area 4-H members as their projects this year.
The following are the purchasers and prices paid for champion and reserve champion livestock:
Market beef:
• RP Services purchased Mackenzie Camblin's grand champion animal for a CWT of $7.50 and a total of $9,795.
• MJK Sales and Hardware purchased Gabby Steele's reserve champion animal for a CWT of $5.75 and a total of $7,463.
Market goat:
• Bear Creek Animal Hospital purchased Jerica DeLong's grand champion animal for a CWT of $18.50 and a total of $1,572.50.
• Grant Mortuary purchased Karissa Maneotis' reserve champion animal for a CWT of $20 and a total of $1,820.
Market sheep:
• Herod Industries, Craig Sports and Roto Rooter purchased Darren McLaughlin's grand champion animal for a CWT of $14.50 and a total of $1,876.
• Mountain Meat and Tin Cup Grill purchased Darren McLaughlin's reserve champion animal for a CWT of $8.50 and a total of $1,241.
Market swine:
• Masterworks Mechanical and Yampa Valley Bank purchased Nathan Chapman's grand champion animal for a CWT of $11.50 and a total of $3,105.
• Duran and Pearce and APH purchased Andrea Maneotis' reserve champion animal for a CWT of $15 and a total of $3,870.
Market poultry:
• Ivan and Regina Kaweak purchased Ashleigh Santistevan's grand champion animal(s) for a total of $850.
• McDonalds purchased Eli Ellis' reserve champion animal(s) for a total of $2,000.
