- Brittany Carter and Ronald Short, of Cedaredge, announce the birth of their son, Brody Keith Short, at 3 a.m. Aug. 23 at St. Mary’s Hospital. The baby weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Keith and Donna Carter, of Craig. Paternal grandparents are Ken and Bonnie Short, of Paonia. The baby was welcomed home by Haylee Short.
