8 a.m. The Craig Downtown Business Association meets at Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave. The second Wednesday of each month is a meet-and-greet, hosted by a local business.

9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Aging Well Program's "Wellness Wednesday" is at the American Legion Post. No. 62 for individuals ages 50 and older and includes fitness, tai chi, lunch and CNCC classes throughout the day. This week's presentation is "Meditation as an Aid to Wellness" with Dr. Fred H. 6 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary bingo is at the VFW Hall, 419 E. Victory Way. The event is open to the public. Call Mary Walters at 824-2923.

6 to 8 p.m. The Humane Society of Moffat County will hold an open house at the fire station, 419 Yampa Ave., in Craig.

Thursday, Oct. 23

8 a.m. to noon. AARP presents 55 Alive, a two-day driver safety program, at Sunset Meadows 1, 633 Ledford St. in Craig. This is the first day of the class. The class, which costs $10, will be held in the second-floor activity room. RSVP to 824-5123.

8:30 to 10 a.m. Senior swimnastics is at the American Legion Post 62 pool, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Call 824-3625.

10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Moffat County Public Library holds story-time in the children's room. This story-time will focus on the Statue of Liberty's birthday, including the history and symbolism of the statue.

7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate Recovery meets at First Baptist Church, 1150 W. Ninth St. The purpose of the group is to help people overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups in a safe environment. Live worship music and child care are provided. Late-comers are welcome. Call Caroline at 620-0659.

7 to 9 p.m. A Survial Seminar will be held in the basement of St. Michael Catholic Church. The seminar will include information about surviving an emergency involving your vehicle, home and the wilderness. Community members of all ages are invited to attend.

Friday, Oct. 24

6 p.m. The Elks Lodge hosts bingo each Friday night. Fifteen games are played with a minimum payout of $1,000 each night. The lodge is located at 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m.

6:30 to 10 p.m. The Craig Chamber of Commerce will hold its seventh annual Crabfest. Dinner is at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion. The meal features a generous serving of king crab legs, buttery potatoes, corn on the cob, herbed biscuits and a dessert buffet. Entertainment will be provided by Summit Comedy comedian Huck Flyn, who also performed at Crabfest in 2006. There also will be silent and live auctions and a cash bar.
