All day. Homecoming week kicks off at Moffat County High School.

All day. The 4A high school state championships begin at Yampa Valley Golf Course. It is a two-day tournament featuring some of the best high school golfers in Colorado. The first tee time is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Moffat County Clerk and Recorder's Office is open on the final day to register to vote in the Nov. 4 general election.

6:30 p.m. The Moffat County High School Parents Advisory Committee will meet in the MCHS Library. All parents of students are welcome to attend. Attendees should enter from the north parking lot. For information, call Principal Thom Schnellinger at 824-7036.

7 p.m. Fellowship Group Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 80 E. Fourth St.

Tuesday, Oct. 7

All day. The 4A high school state championships continue at Yampa Valley Golf Course. This two-day tournament features some of the best high school golfers in Colorado.

6:30 p.m. Civil Air Patrol cadets ages 12 to 21 meet at Bob Adams Airport, FBO building. Social time is from 6:30 to 7 p.m., and a meeting is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. New members are welcome. Call Buddy Kinder 871-7940 for more information.

Wednesday, Oct. 8

5:30 to 7 p.m. The Youth Wellness Initiative will hold its monthly meeting in the MCHS library. All interested community members are invited to attend. For information, call 875-1882.

6 p.m. Free adult fall soccer is at Woodbury Park. The only equipment participants need to bring is a water bottle. For information, call Bill Sawer at 824-0116.

Thursday, Oct. 9

9:30 a.m. The Craig Book Club meets at the Golden Cavvy. Marian Simons will review "John Adams" by David McCullough. Veda Wyman is the hostess. Call 824-5703.

Noon. The Craig Beautification Committee will hold its fall business meeting at Yampa Valley Bank, upstairs in the boardroom. Fall projects are in the works. The community is welcome to attend.

5 to 7 p.m. A Community Tail Gate Football Team Dinner will be held. Cost is $5. The menu includes: pulled pork sandwiches, chips, pasta salad, fruit salad, baked beans, potato salad, desserts and drinks.

Friday, Oct. 10

7 p.m. Fellowship Group Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 80 E. Fourth St.

Saturday, Oct. 11

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A free Car Care Clinic will be held at 1150 W. Ninth St. in Craig for single mothers, seniors and the disabled. This is the Fist Baptist small group project. The clinic is by appointment only. Call Love INC at 826-4400.
