Your local government officials have continued their commitment to assisting new "primary jobs" being created in Craig.
On Tuesday, the Craig City Council stood by its earlier change of heart.
Darcy Trask, director of Craig-Moffat County Economic Develop Partnership, presented information about a business that is being recruited to relocate to Craig, and the City Council demonstrated that they had open minds on the subject.
It has been said that some businesses will be concerned about the prospect of government assisting other companies in starting up a business here, but I, for one, am I excited that our local government entities may be interested in assisting our economy in this manner.
Chapins' vacuum store comes back to Craig
Kim and David Chapin have moved back to Craig.
After a short stint of living and running DC Enterprises in Grand Junction, the Chapins have moved back to Craig. They have opened up their business, which is a factory-authorized Kirby dealer, at the old All-Star Realty location, 510 W. Victory Way. From this location, they will serve Northwest Colorado and northern Utah. If you are looking for service, supplies and/or a new or used Kirby vacuum cleaner, you can stop by the new Craig location or call DC Enterprises at 824-9974.

This time of year there are many people getting stuck in the middle of nowhere. If that happens to you, then High Stakes Enterprises, a tow truck company, has a four wheel drive tow truck to help get you out.
High Stakes Enterprises has been open for business for about two weeks, serving southern Wyoming and Northwest Colorado, including Craig, from the company's Hayden location. Co-owners John Wright and Brandon Gorham have lived in the area for all their lives.
In addition to a four-wheel-drive, 1-ton Dodge winch truck, they have a '96 GMC 21-foot roll back truck.

A new look comes to Union Wireless in Craig
Union Wireless recently gutted its store and brought in all new desks and fixtures.
The store looks very modern and up-to-date, and is much more customer friendly, according to RaChell Novacek, customer service lead in Craig.
