Workers with the Bureau of Land Management and Moffat County Pest Management are scheduled to eradicate patches of Saltcedar, a noxious weed, that has taken root in a 144-acre swath of public land about 20 miles west of Craig.

- A Moffat County Court judge set a $100,000 bond Friday for a Craig man suspected of sexually assaulting a 23-year-old mentally disabled woman.

- Taxpayers no longer have to imagine what a new middle school will look like. They can begin seeing it for themselves. Exterior masonry on the building’s south wing indicates what the completed school will look like - on the outside, at least. Interior construction in the one-story south wing still is ongoing.
