Mountain Man Rendezvous

— The North American Frontiersmen will feature a pre-1843 Primitive Mountain Man Rendezvous and Show from June 5 to 8 at the Wyman Museum, 94350 U.S. Highway 40, two miles east of Craig.

Traders Row will be open to the public all four days. The primitive camp will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 7 and 8.

The camp will demonstrate the skills of flint-napping, flintlock shooting, primitive archery, knife and hawk throwing, primitive fire-making, trapping hide-tanning and many other skills needed to survive the Rocky Mountain fur trade era. The event is aimed at educating children about the time period.

From 7 to 9 p.m. June 7, the mountain men and women invite everyone to visit their campfire for stories and tales of the mountain men along with a touch of mountain music.

For more information, call Howdy Davis at 824-6109.
