Occupation: Teacher/reader/writer/hiker/artist/environmentalist

Place of birth: A small moon orbiting Neptune. But I tell people I was born in Milwaukee.

What should your business card say you do?

I didn't do half the things I have been accused of doing

When did you move to Moffat County and what brought you here?

I moved here 18 years ago when offered a teaching job. But I knew I was going to love the county, and I do. I'm a desert rat.

Describe your morning routine.

Feed the dog, brush my wife's teeth

How would your friends describe you?

In horrible, scandalous and insensitive ways. Let's not ask them.

Have you ever had a book change your life? What book and why?

I am an avid reader. My life has been changed in various ways by hundreds of books. My favorite book is often the book I am reading at the time. I think one of life's great pleasures is finding the time to read on a daily basis.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

As a child, I had high hopes of becoming a Sears Catalogue. That never happened. And then, adding insult to injury, I never really grew up. Ask my wife if you don't believe me.
